The back-and-sides are extremely High-Figure Bubinga, which is also extremely distressed – the wood is BEAUTIFUL, but the cracks and voids were major lutherie challenges! The resulting guitar is unique and uniquely beautiful.
The soundboard is master-grade Redwood. The fretboard is Madagascar Ebony with a 660mm scale length. The bridge is Ebony, the headplate is High-Figure Bubinga, and the headplate inlay of my "JAD" logo and “Maui Girl™” trademark was done by Craig Lavin Custom Inlays. The neck and peghead are Spanish Cedar and the guitar is fitted with Waverley Gold-plated tuning machines with MOP buttons. The result is an elegant, sophisticated and powerful instrument.
Like all guitarmasterworks guitars the soundboard uses my proprietary NO-BRACES design licensed from RainSong Graphite Guitars; RainSong calls the patented design Projection Tuned Layering™. The peghead uses my proprietary Rear String Slot design and the heel has my signature Abalone heelcap. The inside of the soundboard is signed, dated and numbered (#12) by me.
The guitar has the full and balanced tone typical of my NO-BRACES soundboards, and is set up for normal classical playing.
$4,750.00, which includes a hard-shell case.
